About the role

MAX POTENTIAL: Become an effective leadership coach AND unlock a young person’s potential!

Coaching is widely recognised as a key ingredient in developing effective and innovative leaders, managers, and organisations. Effective coaching is an art form—when done well, it unlocks potential, fosters self-awareness, and builds emotional intelligence.

Max Potential is a dynamic coaching program that connects emerging young leaders (aged 15–17 years old) with local community leaders. Over the past 21 years, the program has earned a world-class reputation, with strong backing from clubs, businesses, media, and government leaders—including speeches of support in Parliament.

Now, you have the opportunity to join our innovative Max Potential program as a volunteer youth leadership coach and make a lasting impact on a young person’s life!

What You’ll Do:

As a Community Coach, you’ll receive professional coach training and be matched with a young adult (16 years old). Your role involves:
✔ Regular coaching sessions with your young adult.
✔ Participating in interactive half-day workshops to support leadership growth.
✔ Receiving three one-on-one coaching sessions with a professional coach to work on your own personal goals.

Over 22 weeks, you’ll be part of a transformative experience, guiding young adults through challenges, goals and triumphs as they develop personal leadership skills—and you’ll gain invaluable self-growth along the way!
